Bread for Edible Education

Acme Bread is donating 10% of all Napa Farms Market sales to the Edible Schoolyard Project
The mission of the Edible Schoolyard Project is to build and share a national food curriculum for the education system. We envision this ‘edible education’ as part of the core curriculum of every school in the country. If we can provide every student with a free nutritious lunch and interactive experiences in the classroom, kitchen and garden, edible education has the power to transform the health and values of every child in America.
Each summer, the Edible Schoolyard Project hosts an Academy which provides educators with tolls for teaching edible education – connecting children’s health to curricular study, operating principals and hands on experiences – in garden and kitchen classrooms.
Acme’s donations will provide scholarships for Academy attendees planning to establish edible education programs within California. To learn more about the Edible Schoolyard Project, visit www.edibleschoolyard.org.
